------------------------- TINYTroops RUNNING ADVICE ------------------------- Once run, TINYTroops will auto detect your available memory and load as much data as it can giving you the maximum ammount of Sound Effects and Graphics your system will allow. Playing And Booting From Floppy Disks with the following Memory --------------------------------------------------------------- 2Mb Chip - Full Experience! 1Mb Chip + 1Mb Fast - Some Sound Effects left out! 1Mb Chip - Some Sound Effects, Music & Graphics left out! 1/2Mb Chip + 1/2Mb Fast - Same as above but in some levels you might experience total Sound Effects loss! 1/2Mb Chip - Just bin your machine pleeeeeaaase! Playing From Hard Drive ----------------------- If you have more memory than the above then you will have no problems however by booting into your normal workbench environment you will be using some of your memory for librarys and screen displays etc. If you do have problems running from Hard Drive then try closing down as many windows as possible, to free up some memory before clicking on the TINYTroops Run icon. Alternativly you could boot your system holding down both mouse buttons and disable all devices except your boot device (normally DH0:) and then boot that device with (NO STARTUP SEQUENCE), at the CLI prompt simply type the location of where you installed TINYTroops with the command 'GO' at the end, for example: DH0:GAMES/TINYTROOPS/GO By pressing the 'return' key you will then run TINYTroops from CLI and all memory will be available for TINYTroops to use and flourish in. Enjoy!
